The Mission of Congregation Emanu-El Israel, a Reform Affiliated Synagogue, is:

To actively support, promote and celebrate Judaism, Jewish Culture and the welfare of our community. 

Vision Statement 

Congregation Emanu-El Israel responds to the religious, cultural and spiritual needs of the Jewish community of Westmoreland County and the surrounding area by:

1.   Providing a Bet Tefilah, House of Worship, as a place to celebrate and observe Jewish spiritual traditions.

 2.  Providing a Bet Ha-Midrash, House of Study, offering lifelong       Jewish and Hebrew education. 

3.   Providing a Bet Ha-Knesset, House of Assembly, promoting a vibrant, caring Jewish community. 

4.   Embracing Tikkun Olam, Righting of the World’s Injustices, by promoting social responsibility through outreach and education; and initiatives that support the right of all persons to live peacefully and free from discrimination.

 5.  Supporting the State of Israel and the welfare of Jewish   
      Communities worldwide.
