| ".......and the study of Torah is equal to them all, because it leads to them all"
We place a great emphasis on education at CEI because the children are our future. Our religious school has students in preschool through grade 9. Those in the 10th grade study for confirmation with the rabbi. All are involved in discovering the meaning of their religious affiliation. Students are encouraged to share their own feelings and understanding of Judaism. At the same time, the teaching staff at CEI uses the classroom setting to give them an understanding of Jewish history, study of Torah, prayer, Jewish holidays, and a connection to Israel.

The goal of Jewish education within the Reform movement is the deepening of Jewish experience and knowledge for all liberal Jews, in order to strengthen faith in God, love of Torah, and identification with the Jewish people, through involvement in the synagogue and participation in Jewish life. We believe that Judaism contains answers to the challenges and questions confronting the human spirit and that only a knowledgeable Jew can successfully discover these answers.
