Contributions may be made to CEI or Sisterhood through the following funds:

            CEI’s budget covers such expenses as salaries, utilities, insurance, administrative activities and other normal ongoing expenses through the Congregation/General Fund.  The congregation has many other needs, some of which are met by special or restricted funds.  Each has a specific purpose, and donations to these funds may be made for any occasion.  To make a donation or to obtain additional information on any of these funds, please contact the congregation President or CEI office. 

• Alfred Ratner Library Fund – Supports only library facilities and equipment.
• B’nai Israel Sisterhood Fund – Educational enrichment activities for Religious & Hebrew School students.
• Capital Fund – For approved building structure repairs and replacements.
• Caring Fund – Supports congregants who are experiencing sickness, bereavement and other personal difficulties.
• CEI Endowment Fund – Provides for the continuity of the congregation by subsidizing future operating expenses.
• Computer Fund – A donation to upgrade and maintain CEI’s computer system & software.
• Education Fund – To ensure the continuation of CEI’s Religious and Hebrew schools.
• Fanny Millstein Memorial Fund – For approved major maintenance or beautification of building and grounds.
• Ivan B. Young Educational Advancement Fund – Supports the advancement of Jewish education.
• Joanne Brodell Alpern Memorial Fund – For youth activities.
• Library Fund ** – To provide for the purchase of books and other resource material.
• Oneg ** - A gift to enhance the refreshment celebration following Shabbat and Holiday services.
• Phyllis & Robert Davis Endowment Fund – Provides youth scholarships for Jewish camps, Israel trips, and grants to families unable to afford membership fees and/or Hebrew and Religious school tuitions.
• Prayer Books ** – To purchase prayer books with a personalized bookplate for use during synagogue services.
• Pulpit Flowers ** – To purchase floral arrangements to honor a memory or celebration through the Pulpit Flower Fund.
• Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund – Helps individuals and/or organizations in need.
• Remembrance Fund ** – A special donation to Sisterhood to remember bereavement or sickness or to honor or celebrate an event or person.
• R. L. Wolinsky Memorial Fund – For membership recruitment, new member social activities, and strengthening of CEI Board Development activities and committees.
• Simcha Fund – Enables families with financial difficulties to celebrate a joyous lifecycle event.
• Sisterhood Donor ** - A monetary donation or a donation of services to help support the continuity of CEI.
• Social Action Fund – Supports projects that benefit our community, such as our Meals On Wheels Project and the Blood Drives.
• Tree of Life – A personalized leaf or stone commemorating a happy lifecycle event to be added to the Tree of Life in lobby.
• Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques – An engraved plaque to display on the Memorial boards within the sanctuary.
